A terrible fire outbreak in Accra has claimed the lives of four members of the same family, including a 7-month-old girl.

Charity Hamenu Mensah (Wife), Joseph Henry  Mensah (Husband), Mawuenah Mensah (Daughter), and Elijah Mensah (Son), all parishioners of St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church in the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, were the four members of the family.

The terrible tragedy occurred in the early hours of December 31, 2021, when four inhabitants of a self-contained chamber-and-hall property near the Ashanti Home Touch restaurant at Abeka Lapaz in the Greater Accra Region’s Okaikwei North town caught fire.

The family would be laid to rest on January 28th, 2022  with a memorial service at the St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church in Accra.
