The Prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson has emphasized that Christmas does not only portray the birth of Christ but the season presents him to the entire world as one who solely reveals the Holy Trinity.
During a Eucharistic celebration on the feast of the Nativity of Christ at the Corpus Christi Parish in the Archdiocese of Accra, Cardinal Turkson stressed that the celebration offers the world the opportunity to see God as a revealer who came into the world to make the Holy Trinity known to the world.
“In the last days, God reveals himself to us through Jesus Christ his Son and draws our attention essentially to Jesus as a revealer; as someone who reveals God to us and the revelation becomes clear in the Gospel”, he stressed.
He added that God who is yet to be encountered in person by the world through his “beloved son in his bosom who is made known to us” noting that “beside christ, there is no revelation; nobody knows the father”.
He also charged the faithful to live the season in all facets of life.
