Catholics in Nigeria in the thick of the “ENDSARS” Protest celebrated the Holy Mass at the Lekki toll gate protest ground, Lagos in the early hours of Sunday, October 18, 2020.

The celebration of the Holy Mass amidst the protest saw a good number of the Catholic faithful joining in a solemn regard.

The ongoing protest against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has seen uproar from the international front.

End Special Anti-Robbery Squad ( End SARS) or #EndSARS is a social movement in Nigeria that started on Twitter, calling for banning of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the Nigerian Police Force, a controversial division known for police oppression and brutality.

The protests started as a social media campaign using the hashtag #ENDSARS to demand the Nigerian Government to end the deployment of SARS.

In the infancy stage of October, a video sprouted up on social media depicting a SARS officer attacking a man in Delta state.
The video was shared with millions of people with others disclosing their past encounters on the said issue.
