Holy rosary health center donkorkrom  Most Rev Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD Bishop of Ho Diocese with support from the Most Rev John Alphonse Asiedu, SVD Apostolic Vicar of Donkorkrom Vicariate blessed a newly established block for the Holy Rosary Health Center in Amankwah which was financed by Manos Unidas, a charitable organization in Spain on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
The event was  graced, Mr. Samuel Ohene Kena, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Afram Plains North, Mr. George Adjei, Esq, Director of Health at the National Catholic Secretariat, Mr. Francis Apungu Kwotia, District Director of Education, priests and religious within the Vicariate, Chiefs and people of Amankwah.
The Apostolic Vicar of the Vicariate and  legal owner of the facility Most Rev John Alphonse Asiedu, SVD, in his welcome address  lauded the effort of the Missionary Sisters of the Rosary for their immersed contribution within his jurisdiction.
He extended his gratitude to  the financier of the project and called on the indigenes of Amankwah  to support the facility.
Rev. Sr. Caroline Nkechinyere Oribosi, Sister in charge of the facility,  enumerated the support from the vicariate and the District and appealed to the DCE and people of good will to come to the aid of the facility.
On the lines on the pandemic, he called on all to observe laid out protocols and  asked that people desist from spreading fake news about the virus.
He also lauded the effort of government in the fight against virus with a further appeal to staff and management of the facility to maintain best standards and be proactive in taking periodic evaluation of the facility and appealed to the community to support the facility through communal labour.
Mr. Francis Apungu Kwotia, District Director of health , was appreciative of the growth of the facility and appealed to the DCE and the Bishop to assist in establishing a Nursing Training in the District.
On his part, Mr. Samuel Ohene Ken, DCE of Kwahu Afram Plains North  praised the catholic church for their immense contribution in the District and pledged a staff bungalow and a borehole to facilitate activities.
Appeal for funds was made to support the facility to bring the occasion to a denouement.
