Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Keta-Akatsi has ordained three seminarians into the Order of the diaconate.

The ceremony was held at last Wednesday at the Catholic Pastoral Center, Akatsi Torve in a colourful manner, but was however limited to only the candidates’ immediate families and a few priests as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.

In his homily, the Bishop encouraged the candidates to see their new post as a call to service, encouraging them to volunteer to be servants of servants to the faithful they will be leading.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the candidates resolved to maintain and deepen their prayer spirit, as well as to celebrate the liturgy with God’s faithful people.

Finally, they pledges to obey and respect the Bishop and all of his successors as spelt out by Holy Mother Church.
