Rev. Fr. Felix Kyei-Baffour, the Rector of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church Tafo Pankrono Estate in the Kumasi Archdiocese has been recognised as the most outstanding teacher in the Ashanti Region.

He was honoured at the just ended 2020 Ashanti High school Excellence Awards through his efforts in improving academic performance and standards of students within his capacity.

 

FR. Kyei-Baffour attributes this feat to God and his passion for what he does.

Here’s how the journey began for Rev Fr Felix Kyei-Baffour

I am Rev Fr Felix Kyei-Baffour

I was ordained a priest on 10th July 2010.

I was appointed the Assistant Chaplain to the Non Catholic schools in the Archdiocese from September 2010 to 2015

Then in 2015 to date I was appointed as the Chaplain of the Non Catholic schools and also the Rector of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church Tafo Pankrono Estate.

I was given official appointment as a Christian Religious Studies teacher on 1st October 2011 at Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School.

I have been working hard over the years to improve the results on campus and this was recognized by the School’s board in 2017.

I have been working on various committees on campus which includes the Chaplaincy Board, Sports, Guidance and Counselling and the Electoral Commission.

My hard work was recognized by the Regional SRC as the most outstanding teacher for the year 2020.
