The Diocesan Youth Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Taa-Amoako on Monday June 15, 2020, led a delegation to visit Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Chief Shepherd of the Sunyani Diocese, to present an amount of GH5,500.00 to support some mapped out activities in the Diocese.

The amount was generated through an appeal made by the Diocesan Youth Executive to the youth throughout the diocese to support the Diocesan Communication as well as the CARITAS COVID-19 Fund launched recently.

The delegation was made up of Rev. Fr. Dominic Sabi- Diocesan Youth Chaplain- Rev. Fr. George Osei Ababio Sunyani Deanery Youth Chaplain and Rev. Fr. Simon Gyan Odumase Deanery Youth Chaplain.

The Diocesan Youth Chairman notes in his n a brief remark that, “the donation was made possible through the support of individuals, youth societies, Parish Youth Councils and Deanery Youth Councils throughout the Diocese”.

He added that “the youth saw and continues to see the need to make an impact by sowing into the great desire of Pastoral leaders to build the faith and inspire the generation especially during these trying times of the pandemic in the Diocese”.

He also affirmed that, the youth is ever prepared to support in every way possible, every aspect of the church’s development to ensure its continuous growth.

The Bishop was appreciative of the gesture and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Diocesan Communication Team and the CARITAS Committee and encouraged the youth to take giving in support of the CARITAS most especially very seriously as that is the financial arm of the church now and in the future.

Members of the CARITAS Committee in the persons of Mr. Isaac Ofori, Mr. Gilbert Kingsley Gyamfi, Mr. Adolf Eshun and Rev. Fr. Simon Gyan were available to support the Bishop to receive the donation.
