Two Ghanaians, Emmanuel Atwi and Christopher Awiliba from the Catholic Diocese of Obuasi were on Saturday May 30, 2020, ordained transitional Deacons for the Diocese of Savannah.

The ordination was presided over by the the Most Rev. Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., Archbishop of Atlanta and former Bishop of Savannah.

The two deacons are Ghanaians studying in the United States. They are also products from the prestigious St.Gregory provincial major seminary in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi.
