Sir Raphael A. O. Nwosu (K.S.G), managing director of Tescon Ghana Limited, earlier this month donated a 34-seater Mercedes Benz to St. Victor’s Major Semimary in the Tamale Archdiocese.
The donation was received at the National Catholic Secretariat for blessings by Rev. Fr. Lazarus Anondee, Secretary General of the National Catholic Secretariat (NCS), on behalf of the Bishops’ Conference and later sent to Tamale.
In an exclusive interview with AGNUS-DEI MEDIA, Sir. Nwosu explains that, the donation is born out of his free will and a fulfillment to a childhood promise he made to his father.
He says “ when I was a young man, I asked my father why Bigard Memorial Seminary doesn’t have the saint name and he said it was in honour of the family of Bigard due to their benevolent act. So I decided that, when I grow up, I was going to do something similar for God”.
Mr. Nwosu, a Catholic who was knighted as a Knight of St. Gregory the Great on May 7th 2011, has, in same regard, reached out to St. Peter’s Regional Seminary in Cape coast, St. Gregory the Great Provincial Major Seminary,
St. Paul’s Catholic Seminary-Sowutuom, Carmelites Monastery in Tamale among others across the country.
