Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast has, in a colourful ceremony ordained 13 new priests for the church in Cape Coast at the St. Teresa Minor Seminary, Amisano on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
The Ordinandees, Rev. Alex Abakah, Rev. Raymond B. Acquah, Rev. Joseph Afful, Rev. Dominic Andoh, Rev. Gideon Awuah, Rev. Eric Bosomtwe, Rev. Emmanuel S. Donkor, Rev. William Donkor, Rev. Ebenezer Asamoah Enning, Rev. Charles Paa Kwofie, Rev. Daniel Opokye Quainoo, Rev. Lesley Tano Donkor, and Rev. Stephen Zotor, called to the order of priesthood in a Mass concelebrated by the Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast, graced by the Most Rev. Matthias Kobina Nketsiah, Archbishop Emeritus of the Cape Coast Archdiocese with hosts of priests and well-wishers.
The concelebrating Prelate in his homily charged the Ordiandees to become an epitome of eternal strength and live a life of “total self-denial, giving up of all worldly expectations to be worthy of the kingdom of God” and making a rigorous effort to sustain the faith in the thick of the present unrest battling the world faces.
Archbishop Palmer-Buckle further called on people within their immediate environment and the wider community not to become a source of scandal to the newly ordained priests as they embark on their priestly ministry.
