Bishop Fianu confirms 126 Catholics

Most Rev. Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD, Bishop of the Ho Diocese on the Second Sunday of Easter joined the St. Anthony Catholic Church community at Adaklu-Ahunda, where he celebrated the Feast of  Divine Mercy and also administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to some 126 faithful.

Being an out-station of  St. Stephen Parish, Agotime-Kpetoe, the Bishop was joined in the Eucharistic celebration by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Moses Ameveanku, and his two associates, Rev. Fr. Frank Gbenya and Rev. Fr. Samuel Sekpe.

As part of the celebration, a new rectory for the Church was commissioned by the bishop, while a benefactor, Mr. Victus Dzah donated a motorbike to aid pastoral outreach by the priests and catechists to surrounding villages.

Bishop Fianu, in his homily,  encouraged the confirmandees to have faith in the ressurection of Jesus Christ, and share in the heritage left behind by His disciples.
