Most Rev. Gabriel Edoh Kumordjie SVD, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Keta -Akatsi would ordain six new deacons for the Diocese.

The Ordinands, whose Diaconate Ordination came on, on the 15th of April, 2021 at the Keta-Akatsi Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Torve-Akatsi, have undergone several years of education, training, and formation in their respective seminaries and would be given the “priesthood garb” on October 9, 2021, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Tsiame in the Volta Region of Ghana.

1. Rev. Raphael Etornam Vedenku
Rev. Raphael Etornam Vedenku who hails from Goviepe Korwu in the Volta Region was born to the late Mr. Vedenku Kwesi Christopher and Mrs Christiana Vedenku.
He worships with Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Aflao, started his basic education at Sepenukope JSS , he then continued to St Paul’s Minor Seminary, Denu and St Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lolobi for his early training in the seminary, from the minor Seminaries, he continued his training in the St Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom and ended at St Peter’s Major Seminary, Pedu.
While in School, Rev. Vendenku offered hi pastoral duties  at Sakome, Adutor., Belmazado, Adutor, Adzikame, Akatsi ,Adidome Parish., Avega, Dakpa, Atidzive, Abor,  And Xevi, Dakpa.

2. Rev. Lambert Kwashie Adzah

He hails from Lome – Bé and was born to Mr. Gabriel Akakpo Adzah (of Blessed Memory) and Mad. Elizabeth Yawa Kpodo.
He worships with SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Aflao and started his basic education Ep Basic, Aflao, Amazing Love International School, Denu and completed his basic education at Calvary Ransom Jss, Aflao .
He started his early seminary formation at St Paul’s Minor Seminary, Denu, St Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lolobi and continue at St Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom., and graduated with a degree at St Peter’s Major Seminary, Pedu.
During his formative years, he served his pastoral duties at seven parishes in the Volta Region, namely Gamadzra Catholic Church, St. Mary Catholic Church, Woe-Central, St. Anthony Catholic Church, New-Bakpa, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Awata, St. Daniel Comboni Catholic Church, Sakome, St. Mary Catholic Church, Lume, and St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church.

3. Rev.  Simon Agede

He was born to Mr. Johannes Agede and Mad. Mary Gari. He hails from Akatsi -Agbedrafor and worships with St. Joseph The Worker Quasi Parish Akatsi Agbedrafor .
He attended Akuse Methodist Senior High School and continued to Institut Supérieur Don Bosco (Institut Superieur of Don Bosco) Lome -Togo for his seminary formation, and then to the Republic of Chad for Noviciat and then to Saint Peter’s Regional Seminary, Pedu to finish his formation as a priest.

4. Rev. Godsway Alato

He was born to Mr.Joseph Dogbe and Mrs. Florence Norgbedzi, he comes from Ave Dakpa and worships with St Francis of Assisi Quasi Parish Ave Dakpa.
He started his basic education at New Ayoma R.C Basic School and ended at Sogakope Comboni Jhs. He then continued to St Paul’s Minor Seminary, Denu and St Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lolobi to start his seminary formation, he then continued St Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom and St Peter’s Major Seminary, Pedu to complete his formation for the Priesthood, whiles under formation at the major seminary, he offered pastoral duties at six parishes which includes St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Adina, Bleamezado Catholic Church, St. Micheal Catholic Church -Penyi, Sacred Heart Catholic Church -Bakpa -Avedo, Akeve Gui Catholic Church, And St Peter’s Catholic Church Gefia.

5. Rev.  Michael Selasi Combey

He was born To Mr. Prosper Tettey Combey and Mrs. Margaret Abena Yeboah Combey, he comes from Aflao and worships at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Border-Aflao.
He started his education from  Aflao Lowcost Primary School and completed his basic education At S.S. Peter & Paul Amalgamated J.S.S., Aflao. He then continued to the minor seminaries, ST Paul’s Minor Seminary, Denu and St Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lolobi for his secondary education and his early seminary formation.
He proceeded to  St Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom, and St Peter’s Major Seminary, Pedu to continue and complete his formation.
He served his pastoral duties at Atiavi-Hatorgodo (2014-2015), Bayive, Akeve-Gui, Suepe, Agorvinu, Lawoshieme , Ave Dakpa (2016), Avega , Akatsi (2017), Wodome, Denu (2018), Wudoaba, Kpoglu, Abor (2019/2020), Anyako, Weme, Heluvi, Bakpa Avedo (2020)

6. Rev.  Pascal Innocent Selormey

He was born to Mr. Emmanuel Selormey and Mrs. Rejoice Dzikunu comes from Dzelukope and worships at St. Michael Co-Cathedral Church, Keta.
He started his early education at Keta Rc Basic School and continued to the St Paul’s Minor Seminary, Denu for his secondary education and early seminary formation.
He then proceeded to St Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lolobi to continue the seminary formation and  to St Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom, and St Peter’s Major Seminary, Pedu to complete his Formation.
While under training he served at six parishes for his pastoral duties, these parishes include St Augustine Catholic Church, Akporkploe (Aflao Parish), St Gabriel Catholic Church, Adzato (Adutor Parish), St Joseph Catholic Church, Agbogbome (Viepe Parish), St Michael Catholic Church, Weta (Agbozume Quasi-Parish), St Joseph Catholic Church, Adina (Denu Parish), And Martyrs Of Uganda Catholic Church, Akeve-Gui (Atiavi Quasi-Parish).
